Sovereign Lives Victoria (SLV) Activity Program is run from The salvation army buildings in both Dingley Village & Greensborough. Together our mission is to create greater community inclusion & awareness with ongoing opportunities for individual & community growth in safe and non-judgemental community space that is accessible to all members of the local community that require services and supports from both Sovereign Lives Victoria & The Salvation Army within both our centers.. With ongoing support for one another's organisation, our partnership continues to strengthen with valuable & meaningful daily activities that empower independence for individuals by creating greater community inclusion & accessibility for people with disabilities within our community. Sovereign Lives Victoria (SLV) Day Services in Dingley run daily activities from 9:30-5pm Monday to Saturday that are community and centre based, which are run at The Salvation army, Kingston building in Dingley Village and our Greensborough Activity Center runs from Monday to Thursday 9:30am- 4:30pm Our activity programs are specifically designed to be person centred & goal focused in order for each participants personal needs & preferences to be met and to be able to realistically achieve their goals by participating in meaningful daily activities of their choice and interest. Daily activities are both community and centre-based giving people greater accessibility to the broader community and creating more opportunities and choices, and providing the support they require for their personal development & growth in various areas of life. Our vision at SLV day Services is to work as a community to provide services and supports and quality activities to people with disabilities that will empower their independence & give them the confidence to pursue their dreams and achieve their personal goals with greater community inclusion & accessibility and more community opportunities to individually thrive and live their best life without barriers. Some of the activities we offer are Arts/Crafts, Literacy/Numeracy, Gardening, Cooking, Barrista Classes, BBQ Program, Sensory Activities, Bowling, Bush walking, Life Skills and various ongoing Volunteer Opportunities & Vocational skill building activities. The NDIS provides funding to eligible people with disability to gain more time with family and friends, greater independence, access to new skills, jobs, or volunteering in their community, and an improved quality of life.

To be eligible for the NDIS, individuals must be under the age of 65, be an Australian citizen or hold a permanent visa, and have a permanent and significant disability that affects their ability to participate in everyday activities.

Your NDIS plan revolves around your personal life goals and aspirations. It is crafted based on the information you share during your planning session with your Local Area Coordinator (LAC). Within your plan, you will find a breakdown of the various supports required to help you reach your goals, along with the specific funding allocated to each support category.

Your NDIS plan is tailored to your needs and is reviewed regularly to ensure it continues to meet your changing circumstances and goals.

The NDIS requires service providers to register with them to allow for direct invoicing claims for NDIA-managed clients. However, not all providers opt for registration, meaning there could be a suitable unregistered provider out there that can offer you supports. Access to these unregistered providers is only available if you self-manage your funds or have a Plan Manager.
