Plan management is an NDIS-funded service that pays your providers, tracks your budget and takes the admin off your plate. It's funded separately in your plan, so it doesn't use up any of the money for your supports. You still choose your own providers and stay in control of your funding.

No. If plan management is included in your NDIS plan, it's funded by the NDIS.

Invoices submitted with NDIA compliant information are generally paid within 2 to 3 business days. Every invoice carries a processing status and a history log, so you can check where one is up to at any time without contacting us.

Yes. Being plan managed means you can use both registered and unregistered NDIS providers, which gives you a much wider choice than agency managed funding. Your provider sends their invoice to us, we check it against your plan and budget, and we pay them.

It comes down to who pays your providers and which providers you can use.

With plan management, a plan manager pays your invoices and tracks your budget for you, and you can use registered and unregistered providers. With self-management, you pay providers yourself, claim the money back from the NDIA and keep your own records. You also have the widest choice of providers. With agency managed, the NDIA pays providers directly, and you can only use NDIS registered providers.

Plan management sits in the middle. You get the choice that comes with self-management, without the paperwork.

Ask for it at your planning meeting or plan review. Tell your NDIA planner or local area coordinator that you'd like to be plan managed, and the funding is added to your plan as a separate line. The NDIA doesn't usually refuse a request for plan management. If you already have a plan and want to change, you can ask for a plan variation.

Most plans are up and running within 2 business days of you choosing Kismet as your plan manager with the NDIA. The registration form takes 5 to 10 minutes, and we guide you through the rest from there.

Yes. If you're already plan managed, you can choose a different plan manager at any time. All you need to do is join Kismet and we'll guide you through the endorsement process with the NDIA.

Yes. Kismet gives you the option to review and approve invoices before payment, so you stay connected to how your funding is being used.

Yes. Sign in to the Kismet app or web portal and your budgets are on the home screen, updated as invoices are processed. You can check what's left in each category and what you have to spend each week, any time.
