ACT Leisure Program are a registered NDIS Provider who support Participants in accessing social and community initiatives, and host a number of empowering and fun programs, as well as short-term accommodation (respite) supports. We support Participants across the entire Australian Capital Territory and are committed to ensuring a high level of quality and support for Participants. ACT Leisure Program’s centre is located at 74 Murranji Street, Hawker ACT 2614, and out centre is ready to be your home away from home. With friendly people, support staff always available, and programs being run on most days, our centre remains a busy hub of fun every day of the week, and our Participants couldn’t be happier with the support they receive. ACT Leisure Program provides a variety of fun and engaging programs and services including: • SLES (School Leaver Employment Supports) • Art Therapy • Music Therapy • Horticulture • Astronomy • Positive Movement • Gameageddon (board and card games) • Short Term Accommodation Support - Respite The organisation has seen a massive influx of new participants and referrals and are keen to keep growing so that they can provide the same high quality of services and support to more and more Participants across the ACT.

The NDIS provides funding to eligible people with disability to gain more time with family and friends, greater independence, access to new skills, jobs, or volunteering in their community, and an improved quality of life.

To be eligible for the NDIS, individuals must be under the age of 65, be an Australian citizen or hold a permanent visa, and have a permanent and significant disability that affects their ability to participate in everyday activities.

Your NDIS plan revolves around your personal life goals and aspirations. It is crafted based on the information you share during your planning session with your Local Area Coordinator (LAC). Within your plan, you will find a breakdown of the various supports required to help you reach your goals, along with the specific funding allocated to each support category.

Your NDIS plan is tailored to your needs and is reviewed regularly to ensure it continues to meet your changing circumstances and goals.

The NDIS requires service providers to register with them to allow for direct invoicing claims for NDIA-managed clients. However, not all providers opt for registration, meaning there could be a suitable unregistered provider out there that can offer you supports. Access to these unregistered providers is only available if you self-manage your funds or have a Plan Manager.
