An exciting opportunity has become available for applicants with current NDIS Supported Independent Living funding. There is immediate availability for placement for a suitable candidate.

This Supported Accommodation placement is located in Smithfield and is suitable for adults who have acquired a disability and have more than one primary or secondary diagnosis. The accommodation provides 24-hour support with a Vital Care system installed and can accommodate 11 clients. There are 5 fully self-contained individual villas, each housing 2 clients. Every villa has 2 private bedrooms, each with an ensuite, as well as study/retreat rooms. There is also a 1-bedroom self-contained cottage, currently unoccupied, with air-conditioning in all dwellings.

The accommodation includes a Clubhouse featuring a pool table, board games, exercise equipment, a jukebox, and an entertainment unit with a Foxtel connection. The Clubhouse also has a large kitchen, used for cooking and preparing food for special occasions throughout the year, such as client birthdays, Christmas, and client or staff meetings. There is a gazebo, a BBQ area surrounded by small gardens, leading to a larger garden where clients can relax, interact, and socialise. The entire complex is fully wheelchair accessible, allowing clients to participate in daily living activities without any restrictions.

As a service provider, we offer Individualised Support tailored to meet each client’s needs. We follow the Clients’ Individual Active Support Model, empowering them to actively participate in decisions that impact their lives, including service provision, daily routines, and community access. Two vehicles are available to transport clients to medical and specialist appointments, shopping, and occasional family gatherings.

The Centre is close to local facilities, and public transport is easily accessible, with the nearest bus stop just a 5-minute walk away and Fairfield train station a 30-minute walk. There are several local eateries within a 10-15 minute walk from the accommodation.

Expressions of interest are now being accepted for participants who are ready to live a physically active life, enjoy being socially active in the community, and feel emotionally supported by both staff and the Centre Manager.
