About

About the Housemates:
Canterbury is a shared home that belongs to two men and two women. They are looking for another housemate who loves to sing, laugh and build a friendship. The housemates like to meet new people, travel and spend the day out of the house, whether it's going to the beach, a restaurant or spending time with family. If they are at home some enjoy a pamper day or watching a movie. They all enjoy listening to music and having a meal together.

About the Home:

  • Large Kitchen
  • Shared Dining and Living space
  • Wheelchair access to the house and easily maneuverable areas in the home
  • Accessible bathroom
  • Ceiling hoists
  • Centralised Heating and Cooling throughout the home
  • Large gated backyard
  • Outdoor BBQ and covered patio
  • Raised garden beds
  • 25 min drive to Sydney CBD.

Your questions, answered

The NDIS provides funding to eligible people with disability to gain more time with family and friends, greater independence, access to new skills, jobs, or volunteering in their community, and an improved quality of life.

To be eligible for the NDIS, individuals must be under the age of 65, be an Australian citizen or hold a permanent visa, and have a permanent and significant disability that affects their ability to participate in everyday activities.

Your NDIS plan revolves around your personal life goals and aspirations. It is crafted based on the information you share during your planning session with your Local Area Coordinator (LAC). Within your plan, you will find a breakdown of the various supports required to help you reach your goals, along with the specific funding allocated to each support category.

Your NDIS plan is tailored to your needs and is reviewed regularly to ensure it continues to meet your changing circumstances and goals.

The NDIS can be difficult to navigate, it's important that you prepare and seek out assistance during your application process.

For more details, see our step by step guide by visting https://www.ndis.gov.au/applying-access-ndis/how-apply.

The NDIS requires service providers to register with them to allow for direct invoicing claims for NDIA-managed clients. However, not all providers opt for registration, meaning there could be a suitable unregistered provider out there that can offer you supports. Access to these unregistered providers is only available if you self-manage your funds or have a Plan Manager.
