Support Work

At PSM, our Athlete to Mentor approach turns real-life skills into real impact. Our team is made up of reliable, consistent, and trustworthy people who actually walk the talk. In an industry where the barrier to entry can be low, we’ve made our approach unique – Raising the standard to entry, building a team of locals, for locals, who understand the community and respect cultural ways of doing things in our beautiful country. We’re uniquely niche-focused on the youth sector, with a proven track record of delivering positive outcomes that actually stick. With athletes, musos, and creatives leading from the front, we bring energy, discipline, communication with all stake holders and lived experience to empower young people, help them find their passion, and back themselves. From Southeast QLD to North QLD and Northern NSW, we’re spreading the good work and proving that the lessons from sport and the arts can change lives.

The NDIS provides funding to eligible people with disability to gain more time with family and friends, greater independence, access to new skills, jobs, or volunteering in their community, and an improved quality of life.

To be eligible for the NDIS, individuals must be under the age of 65, be an Australian citizen or hold a permanent visa, and have a permanent and significant disability that affects their ability to participate in everyday activities.

To learn more visit https://www.ndis.gov.au/applying-access-ndis/am-i-eligible

Your NDIS plan revolves around your personal life goals and aspirations. It is crafted based on the information you share during your planning session with your Local Area Coordinator (LAC). Within your plan, you will find a breakdown of the various supports required to help you reach your goals, along with the specific funding allocated to each support category.

Your NDIS plan is tailored to your needs and is reviewed regularly to ensure it continues to meet your changing circumstances and goals.

The NDIS can be difficult to navigate, it's important that you prepare and seek out assistance during your application process.

For more details, see our step by step guide by visting https://www.ndis.gov.au/applying-access-ndis/how-apply.

The NDIS requires service providers to register with them to allow for direct invoicing claims for NDIA-managed clients. However, not all providers opt for registration, meaning there could be a suitable unregistered provider out there that can offer you supports. Access to these unregistered providers is only available if you self-manage your funds or have a Plan Manager.
