About

For more than 30 years, Out Doors Inc. has been providing outdoor adventure and recreational programs for better mental health. Using outdoor education with an emphasis on action, challenge and risk-taking, our experienced, qualified Program Coordinators deliver programs that include rafting, hiking, rock climbing and surfing, and creative programs like bush art and music as a means of providing rehabilitation, skill development and integration in the community. Out Doors has 35+ years of experience working with various cultural groups and communities, specialising in education and skill development in a social, practical and less structured environment. Our programs improve learning outcomes as well as the overall wellbeing of people who are vulnerable and in need of support.

The NDIS provides funding to eligible people with disability to gain more time with family and friends, greater independence, access to new skills, jobs, or volunteering in their community, and an improved quality of life.

To be eligible for the NDIS, individuals must be under the age of 65, be an Australian citizen or hold a permanent visa, and have a permanent and significant disability that affects their ability to participate in everyday activities.

Your NDIS plan revolves around your personal life goals and aspirations. It is crafted based on the information you share during your planning session with your Local Area Coordinator (LAC). Within your plan, you will find a breakdown of the various supports required to help you reach your goals, along with the specific funding allocated to each support category.

Your NDIS plan is tailored to your needs and is reviewed regularly to ensure it continues to meet your changing circumstances and goals.

The NDIS can be difficult to navigate, it's important that you prepare and seek out assistance during your application process.

For more details, see our step by step guide by visting https://www.ndis.gov.au/applying-access-ndis/how-apply.

The NDIS requires service providers to register with them to allow for direct invoicing claims for NDIA-managed clients. However, not all providers opt for registration, meaning there could be a suitable unregistered provider out there that can offer you supports. Access to these unregistered providers is only available if you self-manage your funds or have a Plan Manager.
