Occupational Therapy Group

The Occupational Therapy Group was my first opportunity to experience support from an occupational therapist. My first interactions - months back - was with Rebecca, who I recalled to be courteous and professional. The most memorable thing however was her great initiative, which to me separated this company from a fair number of others.

Most of my sessions - as of late - have been via telehealth. I feel like the full potential of the occupational therapist is realised when conducting sessions face-to-face. That being said, the recurring phone calls are adequate in order to "touch base" and address a number of points that the client wishes to bring up to the OT. Also I thought the prospect of having a group video meeting with a support worker or therapist was interesting.

The timely responses to my emails show that they are committed to helping people out.

Emailing can be a powerful tool if used properly, as well as assist in controlling the pace of service.

I am interested to learn more about OTs, and what they have to offer; building up from my current knowledge and experiences of OTs. I am hoping further sessions with the OTG allows me to be well informed. Nigel.

Rebecca was such a blessing. I required the services of the OT Group for an elderly family member. From my initial phone call to having an assessment performed to the detailed report that was provided, I was kept up to speed the whole way. I couldn’t recommend Rebecca and her team more. I found Occupation Therapy Group to very helpful in enabling my son to regain his driving licence after a stroke. Rebecca was always available to answer my questions either by text email or personally, she showed a strong empathy for my son's problems giving him confidence with his situation. Nothing was too hard, appointments fitted in with sons work too. I highly recommend this group of OTs.

The services seem to be going well so far. After a really slow start (on my side) I am feeling better about the services being provider to my wife.

The Occupational Therapy group will be coming out in the next few weeks to do an assessment of our house and to make recommendations. We are looking forward to see what suggestions they can make.

I used this for a client. She's very pleasant, well mannered and professional. She has the right approach to elderly people, which has a calming effect. I wouldn't say there was any way they could improve in the future. She's up to date and her standards are quite good. She has the right attitude. People like to communicate with her which is helpful too.

I used this service for me. I had a stroke, and lost my license and had to go to the OT to get it back. She was very good, very helpful. She made a point of coming around to my place to do the first assessment, then organised for me to go to the test. She kept me in the loop, and I'd definitely recommend her.

I used this service for myself. She did a driving occupational therapy test that was required for me. She did a few different tests, face to face and practical. I liked that she was really clear about what she was doing, and wasn't nervous. She was very confident and it went smoothly. The service is expensive, but she's really good. Everything was perfect.

She gave me an occupational assessment for driving. I thought she was extremely good and extremely thorough, I was very happy with it. I thought it was to a very high standard. She even came to my house which was rather nice. It's normally quite normally intimidating for me.

She showed a very high level of professionalism. Communication was easy and she made herself readily available to answer any questions I had about the process and its expectations which made the process much easier to navigate.. While her books were quite busy, She was still able to provide flexibility when it came to booking in a time. She was punctual and I believe she really wants the best outcome for her clients.
