About
Kinchela Boys Home Aboriginal Corporation (KBHAC) is a not-for-profit Aboriginal community controlled organisation which was established by survivors of Kinchela Boys Home (KBH) to help restore and reconstruct the identity, dignity and integrity of survivors, and to address the intergenerational trauma that adversely impacts on the lives of their families and descendants. KBHAC is committed to empowering, positive, healthy peer support models that enable greater social inclusion in community life. These models address the rebuilding and strengthening of identity and family structures Since 2014, KBHAC has been providing services to Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians with a disability, their families and carers. This work started with our delivery of the Ability Links NSW program which is a program that aims to assist people with a disability to be valued and equal members of their communities and to help build a society where people with a disability enjoy inclusive lives in all spheres of community life. Since 2019, KBHAC has been providing NDIS Registered Services. Our Connecting Abilities Program’s services are strength based, culturally safe and trauma informed. We support you to live the life you want.
