I used this service for myself. They're great in using my correct pronouns, but aside from that have been pretty awful. My worker said they don't charge for transport which was false. They charged for appointments they make on the same day without notice that I couldn't attend. They overcharge for any appointments missed. They didn't let me know when my worker quit, and I had to find out from the new one weeks later. I definitely wouldn't recommend them and won't be using them in the future.

I'm a support coordinator and have been engaging with Flourish. They are working really hard to bring services out to Penrith where they are desperately needed. They are really good at navigating their way through plans and being creative about it. They try really hard and are really good people.

I found this service to be inconsistent & disorganised at best. Their support workers are lovely but may not show up when arranged & not notify the client. They also change the clients regular support worker with no notification to the client, or send someone else at a moments notice. To me, this shows they do not value rapport, which I considered extremely crucial especially for clients with mental illness.

The NDIS provides funding to eligible people with disability to gain more time with family and friends, greater independence, access to new skills, jobs, or volunteering in their community, and an improved quality of life.

To be eligible for the NDIS, individuals must be under the age of 65, be an Australian citizen or hold a permanent visa, and have a permanent and significant disability that affects their ability to participate in everyday activities.

To learn more visit https://www.ndis.gov.au/applying-access-ndis/am-i-eligible

Your NDIS plan revolves around your personal life goals and aspirations. It is crafted based on the information you share during your planning session with your Local Area Coordinator (LAC). Within your plan, you will find a breakdown of the various supports required to help you reach your goals, along with the specific funding allocated to each support category.

Your NDIS plan is tailored to your needs and is reviewed regularly to ensure it continues to meet your changing circumstances and goals.

The NDIS can be difficult to navigate, it's important that you prepare and seek out assistance during your application process.

For more details, see our step by step guide by visting https://www.ndis.gov.au/applying-access-ndis/how-apply.

The NDIS requires service providers to register with them to allow for direct invoicing claims for NDIA-managed clients. However, not all providers opt for registration, meaning there could be a suitable unregistered provider out there that can offer you supports. Access to these unregistered providers is only available if you self-manage your funds or have a Plan Manager.
