Directors extensive personal and professional knowledge working supporting clients with mental and disability needs. The directors are hands on and are involved with clients and staff alike. CareNeeds is an agency like no other. We have been involved with other support agencies for over 10 years and I wish they would adopt the same approach that CareNeeds do. CareNeeds believe in matching appropriate Support Workers to their Clients - the CEO comes out to meet your family, then they do a number of support shifts to get to know the dynamics of the family. The support workers are then matched up to your family. The proof that this works is that for the first time in 10 years, my daughter loves to see her Support Workers - she can't push me out the door fast enough once they arrive. For the first time I can leave and not constantly worry about whether the Support Workers are coping with my daughters challenging behaviours, because they have been already trained in the strategies we use before they begin their shifts. The service they provide is individualised and unique to each situation. This has had such a huge positive impact for our entire family. My daughter is gaining skills because the support workers are encouraging her independence and teaching her to do things for herself - she is now doing her washing, helping to prepare meals, making her own snacks with their positive support - it is wonderful!

Careneeds provides a personal approach with all their interactions. We were amazed when one of the Directors attended to meet us and get to know our Son. She took the time to get to know us and what we were looking for in terms of support workers and meeting goals and achieving realistic outcomes for our son. For the first 3 weeks that supports started, she personally did the shifts to really get to know our son and family and to be able to then go out and find the right support worker for us. This company is amazing, we were so disgruntled with NDIS and our previous providers, who would just send anyone to the shifts and lacked communication with us. If you are looking for a compassion, understanding, experience and empathy then this is the company for you.

The NDIS provides funding to eligible people with disability to gain more time with family and friends, greater independence, access to new skills, jobs, or volunteering in their community, and an improved quality of life.

To be eligible for the NDIS, individuals must be under the age of 65, be an Australian citizen or hold a permanent visa, and have a permanent and significant disability that affects their ability to participate in everyday activities.

Your NDIS plan revolves around your personal life goals and aspirations. It is crafted based on the information you share during your planning session with your Local Area Coordinator (LAC). Within your plan, you will find a breakdown of the various supports required to help you reach your goals, along with the specific funding allocated to each support category.

Your NDIS plan is tailored to your needs and is reviewed regularly to ensure it continues to meet your changing circumstances and goals.

The NDIS requires service providers to register with them to allow for direct invoicing claims for NDIA-managed clients. However, not all providers opt for registration, meaning there could be a suitable unregistered provider out there that can offer you supports. Access to these unregistered providers is only available if you self-manage your funds or have a Plan Manager.
