About

We are a disability support organisation, connecting people with a disability to young support workers in a thoughtful and meaningful way. Our vision is for our participants and support workers to secure genuine and appropriate relationships. Servicing across Melbourne (predominantly in the Southern and Inner Eastern suburbs), our participants are self-managed or plan-managed participants of all ages (with the majority between 3-35 years old). Our unique process, utilising a person-centred model, ensures that our participants and their families are at the core of our matchmaking process - receiving the support they need and deserve. This ensures participants are matched appropriately with support workers who will become not only their support worker, but a role model, ally and friend.

The NDIS provides funding to eligible people with disability to gain more time with family and friends, greater independence, access to new skills, jobs, or volunteering in their community, and an improved quality of life.

To be eligible for the NDIS, individuals must be under the age of 65, be an Australian citizen or hold a permanent visa, and have a permanent and significant disability that affects their ability to participate in everyday activities.

Your NDIS plan revolves around your personal life goals and aspirations. It is crafted based on the information you share during your planning session with your Local Area Coordinator (LAC). Within your plan, you will find a breakdown of the various supports required to help you reach your goals, along with the specific funding allocated to each support category.

Your NDIS plan is tailored to your needs and is reviewed regularly to ensure it continues to meet your changing circumstances and goals.

The NDIS can be difficult to navigate, it's important that you prepare and seek out assistance during your application process.

For more details, see our step by step guide by visting https://www.ndis.gov.au/applying-access-ndis/how-apply.

The NDIS requires service providers to register with them to allow for direct invoicing claims for NDIA-managed clients. However, not all providers opt for registration, meaning there could be a suitable unregistered provider out there that can offer you supports. Access to these unregistered providers is only available if you self-manage your funds or have a Plan Manager.
