About

We believe that all people with a disability have the right to choose the life they want to live. Our aim is to work together with you to plan and prioritise the support you need, so that you can achieve your goals. We offer disability services including physiotherapy, early childhood intervention, support workers and support coordination -Capacity Building- Early Childhood Supports through the Key Worker Model ABLE-i is a service provider for early childhood supports, using best practice through the Key Worker model. We work with children under 7 year of age with Developmental Delay, Autism Spectrum Disorder & Cognitive Disability. ABLE-i use a wide range of evidence based practices to design and implement individual programs and supports for your child to achieve their NDIS goals. We work with carers/families and together we plan and work with your child to build capacity relating to their individual needs. The Key Worker will help you to better understand the NDIS plan and support you through the NDIS plan review process. ABLE-i can develop individualized programs and implement strategies to develop skills in a wide range of areas. Such as; • Communication • Social Learning (Relationships & Play skills) • Independent Living & Self-care Skills (bathing, dressing, toileting, eating, sleeping etc) • Emotional and Behavioural Self Regulation • Daily/weekly routines • Transition • Fine and Gross Motor Development • Support with Daily and Community Participation • Personal Safety • Learning & more ABLE-i can work with your child in their own home and or community (i.e. Kindergarten or school). Meaning that therapy / learning is meaningful, practical and effective. ABLE-i can make arrangements and provide support and recommendation with purchasing of equipment and resources, using the core funding, to support your child to achieve goals and develop greater independence. Therapy Assistant We can support you to connect with Therapy Assistant. The therapy assistant can help implement your therapy programs. They will work with you under the guidance of a professional, giving you increased opportunities to practice skill between therapy sessions, providing better goal outcomes. This is at a lower cost to you than the cost of a therapist, allowing for better use of your NDIS funds. Support Coordination Support Coordination can be Plan or Self Managed. You just need to remember to tell the NDIS to include it in your plan. Having a Support Coordinator to assist you to better understand and get the most from your NDIS plan can make your NDIS journey easier and less stressful. Support Coordinators will coordinate and find services and assist you with the plan budget and preparation for plan reviews. If things change during your plan they will assist you to apply for a unscheduled or early plan review. -Core Supports- Support Worker (For all ages) ABLE-i can help you to connect with a support worker which best suits your needs. This service at ABLE-i starts with an initial meeting with a support worker who will discuss your support needs and care in detail; to gain a better understanding of what your needs are and the kind of support you require. ABLE-i can arrange for support workers to assist with Daily Activities and Community Access Such as; daily routines and independent living skills, shopping, recreation, cooking, employment and learning support. ABLE-i specialise in helping children with ASD by providing individualised therapy programs and continual support to ensure goals are achieved. In my capacity as a support worker, I deal directly with the founder who is a highly experienced teacher with a Masters in Special Education and who has worked with Autistic children for over 10 years. ABLE-i work closely with all their support workers and peer mentors to deliver high quality support to children and their families and do so with utmost respect.

Three Kids

My three children accessed their early intervention service. We found them to be fantastic, with all my children gaining a better understanding of social cues and what is and isn't appropriate. We'd definitely recommend this service.

The NDIS provides funding to eligible people with disability to gain more time with family and friends, greater independence, access to new skills, jobs, or volunteering in their community, and an improved quality of life.

To be eligible for the NDIS, individuals must be under the age of 65, be an Australian citizen or hold a permanent visa, and have a permanent and significant disability that affects their ability to participate in everyday activities.

Your NDIS plan revolves around your personal life goals and aspirations. It is crafted based on the information you share during your planning session with your Local Area Coordinator (LAC). Within your plan, you will find a breakdown of the various supports required to help you reach your goals, along with the specific funding allocated to each support category.

Your NDIS plan is tailored to your needs and is reviewed regularly to ensure it continues to meet your changing circumstances and goals.

The NDIS can be difficult to navigate, it's important that you prepare and seek out assistance during your application process.

For more details, see our step by step guide by visting https://www.ndis.gov.au/applying-access-ndis/how-apply.

The NDIS requires service providers to register with them to allow for direct invoicing claims for NDIA-managed clients. However, not all providers opt for registration, meaning there could be a suitable unregistered provider out there that can offer you supports. Access to these unregistered providers is only available if you self-manage your funds or have a Plan Manager.
