Description

Accessible, well-located and ready for tenanting now!

BHC Creating Liveable Communities has just completed construction of 10 one-bedroom units located in Enoggera. The units offer spacious independent living for individuals who identify as living with a disability and are registered for assistance on the Queensland Social Housing Register.

This development is located right next to the Enoggera train station and bus interchange for easy access into Brisbane city. Close to local shops and a short bus trip to Woolworths, Coles and Brookside Shopping Centre.

The units are built to Liveable Housing Australia’s Gold design level and will meet Improved Liveability design requirements under the National Disability Insurance Scheme. They feature quality appliances, built-in laundry, ample storage space, open plan living and private courtyard. All residents at this development will have access to the Common Room on level one which has a small kitchen with communal bbq. Bathrooms can be modified to suit an individual’s specific needs. This is a very secure building with swipe access and two-way intercom system. This apartment is enrolled with the NDIS as Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), 1 bedroom, 1 resident, Improved Liveability Apartments. To be eligible you must have SDA funding as part of your NDIS package.

The available unit is located on the ground floor and is ready for tenanting now.

How much does it cost to live here?

The SDA funding in your NDIS plan will be paid to BHC. In addition, you must pay a ‘reasonable rent contribution’, which is 25% of your Disability Support Pension, plus any Commonwealth Rent Assistance you receive.

Your questions, answered

The NDIS provides funding to eligible people with disability to gain more time with family and friends, greater independence, access to new skills, jobs, or volunteering in their community, and an improved quality of life.

To be eligible for the NDIS, individuals must be under the age of 65, be an Australian citizen or hold a permanent visa, and have a permanent and significant disability that affects their ability to participate in everyday activities.

Your NDIS plan revolves around your personal life goals and aspirations. It is crafted based on the information you share during your planning session with your Local Area Coordinator (LAC). Within your plan, you will find a breakdown of the various supports required to help you reach your goals, along with the specific funding allocated to each support category.

Your NDIS plan is tailored to your needs and is reviewed regularly to ensure it continues to meet your changing circumstances and goals.

The NDIS can be difficult to navigate, it's important that you prepare and seek out assistance during your application process.

For more details, see our step by step guide by visting https://www.ndis.gov.au/applying-access-ndis/how-apply.

The NDIS requires service providers to register with them to allow for direct invoicing claims for NDIA-managed clients. However, not all providers opt for registration, meaning there could be a suitable unregistered provider out there that can offer you supports. Access to these unregistered providers is only available if you self-manage your funds or have a Plan Manager.
