About

About Us Wellspace Australia is a leading Support Coordination service registered through the NDIS, dedicated in supporting people to reach their goals. Wellspace Australia started off with one person with a dream to make a huge difference in supporting our clients to live their life to their fullest potential. As a team we believe that everyone has the right to live an ordinary and extraordinary life. We are a family owned business that has extensive experience in the disability, mental health and community sector. As a family we have been supporting people within the community since 1978. We were a part of the initial roll out in South-West Sydney in 2016 and supported participants to transition onto the National Disability Insurance Scheme. We are down to earth and always go above and beyond to make a positive difference in our clients lives. We have a quick turn around time, which means there are no wait lists! If you are in crisis we can prioritise and can get started on the same day. Our Experience and Support Areas o Forensic Mental Health o Criminal Justice (transitions from custody or navigating the Justice system) o Complex disabilities including high medical needs o Homelessness o Transitions (including hospital to SIL/SDA) o Child protection including OOHC and DCJ involvement o Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander – we have a dedicated Aboriginal Support Coordination team o LGBTQIA+ and CALD communities o And much more! Rebecca: I honestly could not have asked for a better person to help me with ndis and just being so kind, caring and genuine. I could tell she actually cared and wanted the best for my daughter and our family. Nothing was ever too hard, she always got onto things really quickly and the support she gave us was just amazing. So grateful for everything she has done for us.

Helen: My NDIS support coordinator is very understanding and helpful. Always encouraged and made to feel welcomed when attending art group. Really built my confidence up and helped with social aspects.

Your questions, answered

The NDIS provides funding to eligible people with disability to gain more time with family and friends, greater independence, access to new skills, jobs, or volunteering in their community, and an improved quality of life.

To be eligible for the NDIS, individuals must be under the age of 65, be an Australian citizen or hold a permanent visa, and have a permanent and significant disability that affects their ability to participate in everyday activities.

Your NDIS plan revolves around your personal life goals and aspirations. It is crafted based on the information you share during your planning session with your Local Area Coordinator (LAC). Within your plan, you will find a breakdown of the various supports required to help you reach your goals, along with the specific funding allocated to each support category.

Your NDIS plan is tailored to your needs and is reviewed regularly to ensure it continues to meet your changing circumstances and goals.

The NDIS can be difficult to navigate, it's important that you prepare and seek out assistance during your application process.

For more details, see our step by step guide by visting https://www.ndis.gov.au/applying-access-ndis/how-apply.

The NDIS requires service providers to register with them to allow for direct invoicing claims for NDIA-managed clients. However, not all providers opt for registration, meaning there could be a suitable unregistered provider out there that can offer you supports. Access to these unregistered providers is only available if you self-manage your funds or have a Plan Manager.
