About

At Nourished, you gain a support team that cares about you and will go above and beyond to make sure you are supported in the way that YOU need specifically. Nourished Not Deprived is a team of Dietitians, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists and Counsellors, accessible from anywhere in Australia. The founder and current Managing Director Bronte Williamson founded Nourished Not Deprived in 2018 in an attempt to disrupt the healthcare industry and provide the most effective & diverse Allied Health care service to as many of the Australian population as possible. Built around personal experience with eating disorders, paired with direct exposure to disability within immediate family dynamics, Nourished Not Deprived is fueled by an unrelenting desire to provide what was lacking for those that many members of our team did not have access to as children. Our passion for serving continues with creating a place of work for our staff where their wellbeing is the centre point focus of our management. We attempt to foster a space in which our team feel heard and have a means for growth that suits their desired development as clinicians. Nourished’s culture is built around a team that cares for one another, appreciates the varied healthcare knowledge that each member brings, and values and respects one another's differences. Nourished Not Deprived is further built around a strong passion for risk aversion and safety considerations. As such, Nourished Not Deprived has embedded many tiered identification strategies and stepped safety plans to identify any harm to patients or practitioners as early as possible.

The NDIS provides funding to eligible people with disability to gain more time with family and friends, greater independence, access to new skills, jobs, or volunteering in their community, and an improved quality of life.

To be eligible for the NDIS, individuals must be under the age of 65, be an Australian citizen or hold a permanent visa, and have a permanent and significant disability that affects their ability to participate in everyday activities.

Your NDIS plan revolves around your personal life goals and aspirations. It is crafted based on the information you share during your planning session with your Local Area Coordinator (LAC). Within your plan, you will find a breakdown of the various supports required to help you reach your goals, along with the specific funding allocated to each support category.

Your NDIS plan is tailored to your needs and is reviewed regularly to ensure it continues to meet your changing circumstances and goals.

The NDIS can be difficult to navigate, it's important that you prepare and seek out assistance during your application process.

For more details, see our step by step guide by visting https://www.ndis.gov.au/applying-access-ndis/how-apply.

The NDIS requires service providers to register with them to allow for direct invoicing claims for NDIA-managed clients. However, not all providers opt for registration, meaning there could be a suitable unregistered provider out there that can offer you supports. Access to these unregistered providers is only available if you self-manage your funds or have a Plan Manager.
