About

At Astute Living Care, we believe in empowering our participants to live an independent life. We offer professional support for people with psychosocial disabilities and walk with them on their road to recovery. The future is full of possibilities after all! Why Us We offer: Personalised approach We take a very personalised approach: each person is unique and we cater to individual needs. Participants are not just a number to us, we create person-centred care strategies designed around the participant’s specific needs. Flexibility and matching We also offer a lot of flexibility and offer participants the choice to choose who they would like to work with. Usually, we send staff profiles to the participant and give them options. In a tight job market it can be rare to find a provider that can offer that much flexibility. So we have a few recruiting policies in place that give us access to a wider talent pool. Qualified team We have a medium sized team, and we have a mixture of experience. Most of our workers have a bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work or diploma in mental health. What NDIS services can we offer? We offer an extensive range of specialised care, including: • Psychosocial Recovery Coaches • Mentoring & Mental Health Support • Peer Support Worker's • Counselling /Therapy sessions for a complete healing solution during the recovery phase. • Personal Care • Domestic Assistance • Community participation and social engagement • Supported Independent Living (SIL)

Your questions, answered

The NDIS provides funding to eligible people with disability to gain more time with family and friends, greater independence, access to new skills, jobs, or volunteering in their community, and an improved quality of life.

To be eligible for the NDIS, individuals must be under the age of 65, be an Australian citizen or hold a permanent visa, and have a permanent and significant disability that affects their ability to participate in everyday activities.

To learn more visit https://www.ndis.gov.au/applying-access-ndis/am-i-eligible

Your NDIS plan revolves around your personal life goals and aspirations. It is crafted based on the information you share during your planning session with your Local Area Coordinator (LAC). Within your plan, you will find a breakdown of the various supports required to help you reach your goals, along with the specific funding allocated to each support category.

Your NDIS plan is tailored to your needs and is reviewed regularly to ensure it continues to meet your changing circumstances and goals.

The NDIS can be difficult to navigate, it's important that you prepare and seek out assistance during your application process.

The first thing to check is your eligibility by visiting the following link: https://www.ndis.gov.au/applying-access-ndis/am-i-eligible.

For more details, see our step by step guide by visting https://support.kismet.healthcare/resource-hub/what-are-the-steps-in-the-ndis-process.

The NDIS requires service providers to register with them to allow for direct invoicing claims for NDIA-managed clients. However, not all providers opt for registration, meaning there could be a suitable unregistered provider out there that can offer you supports. Access to these unregistered providers is only available if you self-manage your funds or have a Plan Manager.
